一般来说，若是推荐 Lionel Richie 发表于1986年那张《Dancing on the Ceiling》，除了标题曲之外，还有热得都快馊了的《Say you, Say me》这样的大热门，怎么也轮不到这首《Deep River Woman》吧。不过整张专辑里我最喜欢的却是这首。
我承认这多少有些先入为主的因素，当初我就是为了这首歌才去买的《Dancing on the Ceiling》，而《Say you, Say me》对我而言是个意外的收获。我现在很难解释一个十四岁的少年为什么会被这样一首歌打动，其中实在是有太多少年人所不解的情怀，又或是已经萌动的心无所依托，便将那晶莹的眷恋安放在音乐里虚构的爱情之中。
音乐没有小说那么具体，也因而更具有与你自身情感世界的相容性，浪漫的音乐会帮你贮藏起很多无的放矢的细腻情怀，在我自己的小说里，我称之为“剩余情感”，这在成年之后，尤其在有了相对稳定的感情生活之后就尤为强烈。在你独自一人的时候，你或许想过把那些贮藏在音乐里的情怀有天能一股脑地献给一个即将出现的心上人，而当你心有所属，那么那些并不适合在你现有情感世界里释放的温度，又献给谁呢？
《Deep River Woman》是一首我从没有在Mixtape里选入过的作品，这样无处寄赠的音乐有很多，至于无处安放的情怀，我在少年时便学会了把虚构着落在小说里，写出来，而后轻装前行，并且在成长的过程中越来越明白，不是所有的爱恋都该在现实中呈现出来，让她们永远地藏在音乐里，让音乐替我们完成所谓的不朽。
