Delerium这个来自加拿大的电音团体其实有着辉煌的暗潮音乐历史，核心成员Rhys Fulber曾为很多大牌艺人担任制作，而且风格各异，但他们似乎是转型走电音路线之后，名声才开始逐渐在主流领域里响亮起来，尤其是2003年的那张《Chimera》，有颇多热门作品呈现。我最喜欢的一首是与女歌手Margaret Far合作的《Just a Dream》，日前我发布短篇小说《西晒》的时候曾做为伴读音乐。
今天要推荐的作品也是来自这张专辑，是与另一个英国女歌手Rachel Fuller合作的《Touched》。这个与我年龄相仿的英国女歌手在与Delerium合作之前，一直默默无闻，但在《Touched》中献声令她有机会得到唱片公司的赏识并在2004年推出了一张名叫《Cigarettes & Housework》的个人专辑。尽管她有着松弛甜美的嗓音，但在她的个人专辑里，似乎没有一首能够象《Touched》那么夺目。不知道她与The Who的吉他手Pete Townshend是什么关系，因为在网络里搜索她的信息的时候，总是会有Pete Townshend的名字相伴左右，呵呵。
我没有机会拿到她的个人专辑，因此也并不清楚谁担任了她专辑的制作。从听觉上来讲，传统的民谣摇滚路线并不太适合她，她的嗓音太华丽温润，在相对朴实的音乐中有些鹤立鸡群。然而在Delerium的音乐里，她温暖的歌声与Delerium音乐里的冷峻相互衬映着，却并没有中和成一锅不冷不热的温吞水，这样的分寸真是难能。前些天我曾经在编辑播客节目的时候引用了这首作品的片断，今天就在博客上播放完整的版本：
