前几天在博客上推荐过Strokes的作品，今天的主角便轮到其吉他手Jr.Albert Hammond了。在众多乐迷都期待着Strokes的新专辑的时候，Jr.Albert Hammond却在今年十月份推出了他的个人专辑《Yours to Keep》，如果你是仍怀着那种对Strokes的惯性印象来听这张唱片，可能会觉得有点错位，所以我觉得当你拿到这张专辑之前，最好忘记这家伙是谁。
我并不太清楚Jr.Albert Hammond是个什么样的人，但是他在Strokes的表现实在让我无法对他没有成见，然而这种成见实际上阻碍了我去以一颗平常心去聆听他的个人专辑。很显然，Jr.Albert Hammond的作品没有那么飞扬跋扈，甚至可以说基本上收敛了所有在Strokes里呈现出来的嚣张，我们听到的仅仅是一个自得其乐的音乐家的闲来之作，妙趣横生的音乐与悦耳的旋律，以及他一点也不扭曲的歌声，若不是偶尔在吉他演奏中流露出些许睿智的锋芒，我真要以为是拿错了唱片。
当然或许Strokes的嚣张并不是Jr.Albert Hammond所热衷的表达方式，他只不过是用最朴实有效的音乐语言与其他队友一起塑造了一个鲜明的Strokes，而他在个人专辑里则如同在自家花园里散步一样时而轻描淡写，时而搞些恶作剧似的自娱自乐。如果说Strokes的音乐在某种意义上可以用伟大来形容，那么Jr.Albert Hammond的个人专辑会让我们知道，他终究还是一个食人间烟火的凡人，只是他比我们这些真正的凡人拥有更多的想像力和才华。……
