Pulp的名作Disco 2000我只听过三个翻唱版本，印象都颇深刻。当年Pulp走红的时候，我听到的第一个翻唱版本竟然是老狼。那时候我带他和小朴去重庆演出，在一个非正式的乐迷见面会上，老狼说想翻唱一首歌，而且还带了伴奏CD，我实在没想到会是Disco 2000。老狼说他在香港逛唱片店的时候碰巧见到这个伴奏，便买下来预谋在演出的时候也Britpop一把。说实话，老狼的版本很好，或者说我听他唱这样的歌的时候，我依稀可以看到他熟练的舞台表演中的那份难得的冲动与兴奋，或者说我在那一刻看到的竟然是大学时代血脉喷张的摇滚老狼。
第二个版本是我的Newbees旗下专辑没发表就解散的NC在现场的翻唱版本，张霁苏瘦高而有点病态的身形在舞台上真的象极了Jarvis Cocker，不过NC并没有对作品的音乐部分进行改编，只是依照原作排练。
但是Nick Cave的这个版本我第一次听的时候真是大跌眼镜。老Nick把Disco 2000改成了八六拍，将一个有关成长的伤感故事唱多了几份世纪末的悲凉。

嗯~~pulp是早期英式里我最喜欢的一支~
不过我还是最喜欢他们极其拧巴的那首《This is hardcore》。呵~
老Nick的版本也蛮不错的。
