尽管瑞典的The Cardigans一直希望大家把他们看做一支摇滚乐队，而且在主流领域获得一定业绩之后也尝试让自己再摇滚一些，但实事求是地讲，他们每一次这样的尝试都并不太成功，倒是由Tore Johannson担任制作的这张Gran Turismo更能体现The Cardigans的柔韧质感。有进取心的艺人是值得尊敬的，但是The Cardigans抛却Tore为他们打造的音乐概念后带来的Long Gone Before Daylight除了形而上的摇滚之外，似乎并没有什么实际的收获与进步。2005年请回Tore制作新专辑Super Extra Gravity，Tore也并没有刻意让他们走回老路，不过这张折中主义的唱片同样没有给我留下太深刻的印象。The Cardigans并不是可以创造新概念的团体，他们出道十余年来，音乐上的探索似乎成就并不显著，因此他们倒不如朴实地去谱写动听的作品。今天推荐的这首Higher便是收录在Gran Turismo中的作品，引入电气元素尽管会削弱他们所希望的摇滚气息，但对于表达作品似乎比一厢情愿地去摇滚更恰当。
